Salon And Beauty Chain Closing Three Of Four Indianapolis Area Stores

Finding a good hairstylist/barber is basically like dating someone. They have to be good at listening, you have to trust them, and they have to know what you want/like. So, I hope this doesn’t impact you or your stylist.

According to the Indianapolis Business Journal, Beauty Brands will be closing 25 of there stores. This includes three locations in the Indianapolis area—Carmel, Greenwood and Fishers. Their fourth location in Avon will remain open.

The company is based in Kansas City and at one point had 65 locations in 11 states. However, they’ve been downsizing over the last five years citing competition from online retailers like Sephora and Amazon.

“This year has proven to be a tough year for our business despite our efforts to combat industry headwinds,” Beauty Brands CEO Caryn Lerner said in written comments. “Necessary organizational changes are required heading into the new year.”
