Downtown Indy Taco Joint Closes After A Year In Business

I’m a firm believer in the more taco places, the better. But Indianapolis just lost one according to the Indianapolis Business Journal. After 13 months in business, Broken English has called it quits.

The restaurant was located in the old Tilted Kilt building at South Meridian and Georgia. It opened in November of 2017 and according to one source its last day in business was New Year’s Eve.

Broken English is based in Chicago and the downtown Indy location was the first outside of the Windy City. There apparently has been no announcement of the closure. But, the restaurant hasn’t opened its doors in 2019 and a moving truck was seen outside the building according to Indy Star.
