Greenwood’s Old City Park you know is about to be no more. According to the Indy Star the playscape alone will cost at least $4 million. It will be only the third of its kind in the nation.

A three-tiered stack of blocks coming in at 20 feet tall will overlook new ping pong tables, chairs, a meadow and adult-sized swings.

Additionally, there will be a pedestrian bridge and a paved walkway that will connect Madison Avenue to Meridian Street.

Construction will begin in the next few months. Check out the Indy Star for a mock up.
