Update: Granger’s rep confirmed to people that the cause of death was an accidental drowning at the family’s home.

Granger Smith is experiencing every parent’s worst nightmare—the loss of a child. In a heartbreaking post on Facebook, Granger shared that his 3-year-old son River passed away.

Granger didn’t elaborate on what the accident was. But, he did say that River’s organs were donated to help other kids in need.

In lieu of flowers, he and his wife are requesting donations be made to Dell Children’s Medical Center in River’s name, according to WDAF.
