Man it must be nice to have so much money that spending $4 Million on a guitar is nothing. That’s the kind of rich that Jim Irsay is.

He just dropped $3.975 MILLION on a guitar once owned by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. According to the Indianapolis Star, this is the most money every paid for a guitar at an auction.

The Black Start was expected to fetch $100,000 to $150,000—that’s how much the CASE went for…also to Irsay. The previous record was $2.7 million.

Good news though, all the money is going to help out a good cause. Gilmour said he’s donating it all to ClientEarth, an environmental law organization with an announced mission of fighting climate change.
