Smartest Hoosier Ever 9/10

Smartest Hoosier Ever

Q: Fruit, barley, and corn are other names for what?

A: Harvest Moon

A full Harvest Moon will mark the transition between summer and fall, not to mention a little extra spook to Friday the 13th. It gets its name because it comes so close to the autumnal equinox, the moon aligns with a time when farmers are harvesting crops for the winter. And if they need light to harvest… either fruit, barley, or corn… past sunset, farmers can depend on the glow of the Harvest Moon to help.  And Thursday through Sunday, with a peak Friday night it will be epic to view.  Full moon on Friday the 13th won’t happen again until 2049.
