Occasionally, I’ll run across an app that I want to share with family or friends. This app, I want the WORLD to know about!! It’s the perfect marriage of technology and my love of helping others. By downloading the Be My Eyes app, you become a volunteer. A blind user will request assistance, and the volunteer helper receives the request and can help by answering the question. It could be something as simple as a picture of two cans with the question being “which can is peas?” You, as the volunteer respond with the answer. And if you get a request you don’t have time to view, another volunteer steps up. It’s a wonderful opportunity to make a positive change in someone’s life…and it couldn’t be easier.
