Hi everyone, it’s Deb…
Need a last-minute idea to show Mom she’s special? These are guaranteed to win you some points all the while showing your mother that she knocks it out of the park. Even better, they are easy to do and don’t break the bank!
#1
FOOT MASSAGE
Don’t let the name fool you! Those foot massage businesses you see advertised around all sides of town are AMAZING, and they aren’t just rubbing your feet! They usually cost $25-30 for a ONE-HOUR, FULL-BODY massage (you read that correctly) and even better, Mom doesn’t need an appointment. She just shows up with her gift card that you gifted her and it’s pure relaxation! Clients don’t even remove their clothing. It’s my favorite go-to for a gift, because who doesn’t need some time to relax?
#2
CHOCOLATE-DIPPED STRAWBERRIES
Moms are busy, but never too busy for a chocolate treat from time to time. Problem is, Moms likely won’t take the time to dip their own berries, but you can give them as a gift! Look for chocolate-covered fancy strawberries in the bakery case at your local grocery store, throw in a card, and it’s a winning combination! (Buying yourself a strawberry, too, makes it a win-win.) I’ve done this before, and spent less than $7!
#3
SENTIMENTAL ‘I LOVE YOU’ JAR
It’s the gift that will mean the most! Moms love recalling memories of their children over the years, and a great way to do just that is to gift Mom with a jar (use one laying around the house and it’s free!) filled with your favorite memories with mom over the years! My sisters and I did this to celebrate our Mother’s 70th birthday, and we sat and listened as she pulled each memory out of the jar and read them over dinner. THERE WASN’T A DRY EYE! Some of our reasons included:
*Because you were my Girl Scout Leader.
*Because you helped me get over a bad haircut.
*Because you took care of Griffin as a baby.
…You get the idea. It was nice to take a trip down memory lane. It’s also a gift that Mom can revisit anytime she needs a smile.
Even better? Gifts from the heart are FREE.
Would love to hear from you and how your gift turned out!
Happy Mother’s Day!
~Deb
