It’s Deb…
I remember this all too well. I was a freshman when my older sister was a senior, and these conversations happened often. Not that I wasn’t proud to be her sis, but it is very true for younger siblings: You are known for being so-and-so’s brother, etc.
Same goes for my two boys. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard someone say to our youngest, ‘Oh, you’re Griffin’s brother?‘ Of course, he’s fine with it. He still thinks his brother is a rock star and enjoys his company.
I’m sure that will soon change.
Here’s to all the younger siblings who will be asked often if they are related to so-and-so as they try to make their own way through school and life.
Study hard!
Be You.
Be a rock star.
