Chase Rice didn’t disappoint last night in concert at 8 Seconds Saloon as part of our WFMS Concert Series! We chatted with Chase on his tour bus just before the show, and love learning something new about an artist each time we visit. Here’s some new Chase Rice knowledge we tucked away to share with our WFMS family:

1) Chase loves candles. In fact, he lit a couple as we sat around chatting. Chances are he wanted the bus to smell nice during our visit, but we like to think he was creating some mood lighting for his friends at WFMS.

Or not.

2) Chase has a killer grip. We watched him finish off a bottle of water and then literally crush it with ONE HAND. He later explained that the purpose of going all Hulk Hogan on the plastic bottle is to conserve space in the trash. Still, it was quite impressive to watch. (Doesn’t take much for us!)

3) Don’t look for Chase to wear stage clothes during his meet and greet before a show. With about 4 minutes to go before meeting his fans, Chase told us he would just wear the tee and shorts he was wearing on the bus, no need to change. We liked his laid-back approach, despite the knowledge that photos of his likeness were about to get plastered all over social media. No need to get all fancy. And no ego here, folks.

4) Chase only drinks water. (Okay, and alcohol.) Not sure which beverage he prefers most, but the important takeaway here is NO SODA. None. Just to clarify…zilcharoo.

5) We saved this fact for last, because it’s sure to disappoint many fans. ***Chase has a girlfriend*** Oh, and (SQUIRREL!) he was wearing socks on the bus. (This really should have been titled ‘6 Things You Need to Know About Chase Rice,’ but we’re EXTRA like that.)
