Decorating our home for the holidays has become a tradition for Karen and me. We put on holiday music, sip cocoa and Rumchata, and reminisce about holidays past, and many ornaments on our tree have special meaning.
- Our tree. Karen made the Bavarian garland three years ago.
- K for Karen. J for Jack.
- Picked this up in Chicago about eight years ago at their Bavarian Christmas Market at Daly Plaza. I love German style ornaments and decorations.
- One we acquired this year at the Carmel Christkindlemarkt.
- I just like these Bavarian snowflakes.
- An old ornament of Karen’s that I love.
- I’m an Illinois Boy. Oskee Wow Wow.
- Karen’s an Alabama girl, but an Auburn fan to the end. War Eagle!
- I bought these for Karen’s tree when we were dating. They came from Pier 1, if I recall.
- We lost our baby boy Taco this year, so this ornament is in memory of our happy little tabby who brought us so much joy during his short life. The other cats are not allowed in the tree.
- A Robert Indiana ornament, although we bought it for our first Christmas tree in Nashville shortly after we got married. All you need is love.
