In June of 2018, Brandon Church suddenly passed away. Brandon had written a few songs with his brother, Eric Church and after his passing, Eric paid tribute to Brandon in concert.

Brandon suffered two seizures the night of his death, according to TMZ. The second of which sent him into cardiac arrest. The autopsy revealed that Brandon’s death was a result of chronic alcoholism. He had a history of chronic alcohol withdrawal seizure disorder. Put bluntly, he would drink a lot and then attempt to quit which brought on seizures.
His heart was thickened by the alcohol abuse which also resulted in coronary artery disease and live damage.
A Scholarship Memorial Fund has since been set up in Brandon Church’s honor. It already has more than $45,000.
