Craig Morgan‘s song “The Father, My Son and the Holy Ghost” made it to Number One on BOTH the iTunes country and all-genre chart, with full credit to friend Blake Shelton for the push in sales. Earlier this week Blake made it his mission to get people on it, and he was very successful. It reached the top of those two charts yesterday morning. Blake hit up Twitter soon after to celebrate. He wrote, “Ladies and gentleman, one of the hardest things to ever achieve in music is having a #1 selling song of ALL music ALL genres. You can’t fake it. The song has to touch people. Congratulations Craig. This one’s for Jerry.”
Craig did hit up Instagram to say he’s “humbled by the support” . . . and he thanked Blake for being an “awesome friend.”
