INDOT Needs Snowplow Drivers

STATEWIDE — Tomorrow, the Indiana Department of Transportation will be hosting a job fair to find seasonal snowplow drivers.

The event will take place in multiple cities across the state including, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and Bloomington, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 16.

The seasonal positions are for general highway maintenance, like removing snow and ice and repairing and installing traffic signs and pavement markings, said INDOT.

The pay is $16 per hour and you can get up to 37.5 hours per week plus snow events. INDOT said they are offering a $250 sign-on bonus and a $500 retention bonus. The job would run from Nov. 4 to March 20 of next year.

What You’ll Need

  • Current Driver’s License PLUS another form of identification
  • CDL License
  •  Ability to pass a drug test
  • Copy of High School Diploma/GED (preferred, but not required)

You do not have to pre-register, but INDOT said it is preferred.
