Sure, Team Kelly Clarkson might have won The Voice this season, but Blake Shelton won the hearts of America. Well, at least the heart of a 7-year-old from Southern Indiana.
Colton Harkness is from Paoli, IN and he recently put in a wish with Kids Wish Network. Colton has cerebral palsy and uses a wheel chair to get around, but that doesn’t stop him from dreaming big!
The 7-year-old achieved his dream of becoming a police officer thanks to local law enforcement officers. According to WBWI, Colton had a swearing-in ceremony where he was presented with a ball cap and badge in front of all his classmates.
But that’s not all he got. He also took a trip to meet his favorite country artist, Blake Shelton, on the set of The Voice. He hung out with Blake, sat in the coach’s chair and met Gwen Stefani and John Legend, too.
Plus, since he was already out in California, he and his family made a stop at Disneyland.
