Irish Pub Banned ‘Sweet Caroline’ From Playing Thanks To COVID-19

Get ready for your favorite bar/club to start banning certain songs to be played because of coronavirus!

According to Irish Post, an Irish pub in Spain is one of the first drinking establishments to publicly ban Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline” during the pandemic to prevent people from touching other people.

While karaoke isn’t prohibited in Spain, venues are required to take steps to ensure singers are at least three meters from any watching patrons while performing, but when “Sweet Caroline” came on the venue noticed that people would still feel inclined to reach out, touch hands, and touch other people.

At least we know what the first song we’ll play when coronavirus is over!
