Okay, it’s not like we were expecting Blake Shelton to give Gwen Stefani a cheap engagement ring. But, I also don’t think I was expecting it to be THIS much.

Katie Zimmerman works for jewelry company Blue Nile and, according to Yahoo!, she estimates the diamond in the ring to be around 10 carats. She also thinks the setting is platinum, so that would put the ring at about $700,000-$800,000.

Now, they’re just working off of the same Instagram photo we’ve all seen, which isn’t very clear. So ya know, it might be a bit smaller/less expensive. An employee from another company guesstimated the size to be closer to six carats with a price tag of about $500,000.

I guess I don’t know if that’s a lot compared to other celebrities. All I know if my ring is a carat (definitely not a diamond) and I wish I would’ve gone smaller. I’d be terrified that I’d lose it but I guess that’s what insurance it for.
