Why You Shouldn’t Rest Your Head On The Plane Window

When it comes to flying, I’d definitely prefer taking the window seat so I can lean to the side if things are rather cramped. Suddenly, I’m starting to rethink this idea.

A flight attendant gave a tip in Reader’s Digest of “22 Things You Should Never Do On An Airplane” that has me wanting to Lysol the window as soon as I get to my seat. The flight attendant is Linda Ferguson, who worked as part of a cabin crew for 24 years, and she shared that you shouldn’t rest your head against a plane window because you don’t know how many people have turned to sneeze, cough, or done who knows what to that window during flights that came before yours, according to BroBible.

Linda also had this to say about it, “I see plenty of people carry Lysol wipes with them that will wipe the area around their seat. If there was a backlight and they could light up a plane with all the germs, I think it would petrify everybody. My rule of thumb, and I never get sick, is I never put my hands in my mouth or near my face.”
