We asked what you call the end of the loaf of bread. We didn’t think it would generate some many responses. George, Nina and Rebecca say CRUST. Sonny says it’s the LUCKY PIECE because it’s his favorite part of the loaf. Kimberly, Shelby, Lori (and a bunch of other people) simply call it the HEEL.
No matter what you call it, don’t throw it away. The end of the loaf can be used for: bread crumbs, to make meatloaf, and Deb’s favorite bread pudding.
