CDC Now Recommends That Vaccinated People Wear Masks Indoors

For the past few weeks, vaccinated people have enjoyed being able to go maskless in many indoor places, both in Indiana and other states. However, the CDC has reversed course and is now recommending that even those who are vaccinated wear masks while indoors.

If you’re unsure whether or not to mask up, WTHR says to ask these questions:

  • Are there potentially unvaccinated people in this space?
  • Is this an indoor space?
  • Am I (or those who I live with) at higher risk for complications from COVID-19?
  • Is the current case rate in Marion County at an Orange or Red level according to the CDC?

If the answer to three or more of them is yes, then put on that mask.

You can still get vaccinated, if you aren’t already. Appointments for the free COVID shot can be made at ourshot.IN.gov.
