Two Country Artists Make Time’s 100 Most Influential List

Every year, TIME Magazine puts out a list of the 100 most influential people. Last year, there were no country artists included on the list. In 2021, there are two.

According to the release from the magazine, journalists from different cities, countries and continents worked together to create the list. The people they included are those who they consider to be “working to build a better future. [It’s a] community of leaders whose energy and commitment we hope inspires others to spring into action as well.”

Kane Brown finds him self on the list for the first time in the Artist category. Darius Rucker wrote his feature and said he “has that unquantifiable “it” factor. He’s so laid-back and doesn’t take himself too seriously, but he also really cares about his craft and other people.”

I’m sure it’s not Dolly Parton’s first time making this list, although I couldn’t find any proof to support that. This year she made the Icon category, with a feature written by her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus. Miley wrote, “Dolly is not only my idol because of her incomparable career — she’s also my role model because of her steadfast morals and values. At her core, she is the definition of a humanitarian.”
