Indy’s First Plant Pageant And Party Is Happening This Month

If it’s not you, there’s definitely someone in your life who loves plants. Like, they (or you) might be obsessed with them. Plant collections have definitely grown in popularity; scroll through Instagram and TikTok and it won’t take long for you to find a viral plant post.

For the first time in Indianapolis, plant lovers will unite for Plant Stop, Won’t Stop—a “family-friendly celebration of planty people and things” per the event’s press release.

There will be a market with local vendors, two plant swaps and a plant pageant. Participants will dress up and show off the plant they are most proud of with the chance to win prizes. Food and beverage will be available from local establishments for purchase.

Plant Stop, Won’t Stop is expected to have a pretty decent turnout…like 2,000 people have already RSVP’d. The event itself is free, the organizers just ask that you sign up for tickets so they have a general idea of how many attendees to expect.

The event is Saturday, May 21 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Circle City Industrial Complex.
