We all knew that Garth Brooks was in Indiana for a show at Notre Dame earlier this month. But, he was actually in town the day before for a private concert.

Jim Williams, president and CEO at Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County, said that Garth and Trisha were instrumental in the creation of the Carter Work Project site back in 2018.

“We wanted him to see all the growth and progress that’s happened these past four years. As the conversation went on, one thing led to another, and the next thing we knew, we had the blessed opportunity to host a private concert fundraiser with only a month to prepare!”

Around 300 people attended the private concert in Granger, IN, and $635,000 was raised. But, at the last minute, an anonymous donor announced a dollar-for-dollar match, so the total was over one million dollars. No one said it was Garth, but no one said it WASN’T Garth…

The money will help current Habitat homeowners and go towards the creation of a new subdivision per Music Mayhem.
