Back in September of 2021, Joe Don Rooney was arrested in Tennessee on a charge of driving under the influence. This week, according to “Taste of Country“, the Rascal Flatts guitarist/singer pleaded guilty to the DUI charge.

In Williamson County, TN, this charge can come with up to nearly a year in jail. However, most people do not get that much time, especially on their first offense. Rooney was only sentenced to serve two days in jail, with the rest of the time suspended.

He will also have to complete an alcohol awareness course and have a breathalyzer installed in his car if he chooses to apply for a restricted license.
