As a society we’ve learned that the plastic rings for soda is a safety issue for marine wildlife, so we cut the rings and dispose of them appropriately to help protect the animals. This is a similar situation but it occurred in Michigan where a deer had been spotted with an old pumpkin Halloween bucket for Trick-Or-Treating was stuck around the small buck’s snout like a muzzle. After seeing it wander around for a couple weeks, a group decided they wanted to help. They set up a net to drop over the deer when he was in the right spot, and they gently removed the bucket from his face and the netting from his face. Check out this team effort in the video below!
