In 2021, HBO debuted an incredible documentary about the life of Tina Turner. She was such a force and I relished every moment of this documentary. It was all encompassing of her turbulent life. She never had it easy, but she was a fighter who, ultimately, rode off into the sunset she created.

She did have health issues at the end of her life and stepped back from the public eye following the Broadway debut of the musical about her life. I remember crying buckets at the end of the documentary knowing that we probably had seen the very last of her. That was the truth. But the powerful legacy she left behind will remain through eternity. Rest In Power, Tina Turner.
