Serve Deb’s Recipe for the Big Game

Need inspiration for the food you plan to serve for the big game? Look no further! I take these to every gathering and people LOVE them! It’s a new spin on Pigs in a Blanket called Chicks in a Blanket! I use chicken-apple sausage links instead, and it’s a twist that people love! These disappear quickly! Did I mention only TWO ingredients?

Some like to add a fun mustard dipping sauce of your choice to add additional flavor, it’s up to you!

CHICKS in a BLANKET

Ingredients:

1 package crescent roll dough
4 chicken apple sausages
Yellow mustard, for dipping (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF. Grab your cookie sheet! (I line mine with parchment paper.)
  2. Carefully unravel crescent dough until you have four rectangular sections. Wrap each sausage around one piece of dough, pinching edges to seal.
  3. Cut dough-wrapped sausages with serrated knife into 6-8 equal pieces.
  4. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until dough is golden brown. (Be sure sausage is heated through.) Serve with mustard for dipping if you choose & watch them disappear!

Enjoy! Be prepared for guests to ask for the recipe! I always bring home an empty plate! ~Deb
