Earlier this week, we were heading to get ice cream one evening, and my husband told our son he probably should turn the dome light off inside the car, explaining he heard it is illegal to drive with it on. I had never heard that?
So, we went to the expert, and asked our officer friend what’s what. Here’s what he said:
No, it is NOT illegal to drive with your interior car lights on. May not be the best idea, but you certainly won’t be pulled over for doing so. Jim later admitted he tosses his gum out the window frequently, so what about that?
Yep. That’s a no-no. ILLEGAL. And you can be pulled over for it. While we are on the subject of illegal infractions, our officer friend told us you also shouldn’t drive without shoes.
Barefoot driving is a no-no. And there you have it.
