Kevin here.
We just flew back from the Bahamas.
One of my pet peeves is the announcement the flight attendants are required to make before each take off.
“For take off, please fasten your seat belt low and tight across your lap. Insert the metal fitting into the buckle, tighten by pulling on the loose strap. To release, lift the face plate of the buckle.”
Seriously, who doesn’t know how to buckle a seat belt?
Cars have been required to have seat belts since 1968. That means for someone to not to know how to buckle up, they haven’t been in a car for the past 49 years!?
I know the flight attendants are just doing their job. Isn’t it time for the FFA to update their pre-flight announcements?
OK, rant over.
