You know those memes that are like, “You know you’re an adult when…” Well life as a first-time homeowner essentially has me living in this meme permanently.
One of the big items on our Must Have list was a two car garage. I’ve never been able to park in the garage before so that was super exciting. But somehow, probably because we haven’t lived here in a snowstorm yet, getting a new refrigerator has me feeling even more like an adult.
Not just any refrigerator…a refrigerator with a water line! That means no more filling up the giant water dispenser every day! No more filling up the ice trays! I’m sure my excitement will wain pretty soon, but let me just tell you, getting this appliance has been a process.
My future mother-in-law ordered it for us in May. It was supposed to come the first week of June. Then the second week of June. Then after a lonnnnnng time on hold with the local store and a call to the corporate office, I found out it was back ordered until at least September.
That meant we had to swap it out for a different model. After two more weeks of waiting, it’s finally here and it’s beautiful!
I know, it’s not an exciting story. But it’s 2020 and we all have to celebrate small wins.
