There have been so many Holiday movies released, but there are only a few that become true classics! Whether the movie is funny or heart-warming – it’s those movies you can watch time and time again and never get sick of them.
This is the Top 10 according to me. Feel free to disagree, but I’m standing by the order on this list!
If there’s one you haven’t seen, it’s worth your time to check it out. Or maybe one brings back memories and you’ll watch it again with the family.
Spoiler: Die Hard is NOT on my list and I’m standing by that decision! (But I do love the movie)
10. Planes, Trains & Automobiles – Steve Martin & John Candy have some of the most hysterical moments in this movie!
9. Miracle On 34th Street – The original department store Santa Claus will warm the coldest heart.
8. Polar Express – Visually awesome. Tom Hanks. Need I say more?
7. Elf – Full transparency – I had never seen this movie until about 5 years ago! Now I wonder what took me so long?
6. Home Alone – I still wonder how a family of their means ever afforded a family trip to Paris!? But hey, it’s a movie with a cute kid and a funny premise.
5. Love Actually – All the feels from all the different intertwined stories put you on a rollercoaster of feelings. Plus, Hugh Grant’s dance scene might be one of the most remembered and most replicated scenes ever.
4. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation – Chevy Chase…that is all.
3. Dr. Suess’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas – The 1967 animated version stands the test of time. It’s the OG of Grinch movies and will forever be the best!
2. A Christmas Story – Fun for kids and adults alike…and the leg lamp!
1. It’s A Wonderful Life – Originally released in 1946 – yet George Bailey wishing he’d never been born STILL brings people to tears today.
