It’s Deb…took the kids bowling last week…what could go wrong, right? Aim the bowling ball toward the pins and eat some processed-cheese pizza. Should be easy enough. But, it wasn’t. Third time up, and I pulled a muscle.
A butt muscle, no less.
After limping out of the alley and later telling a friend, they informed me that a person can burn 100 calories during an hour of bowling, so I figured my injury counts as an athletic mishap.
Which would make me an ATHLETE. Yes? Okay, not really.
But, telling people who ask why you’re walking a bit slower that you did it while BOWLING sounds kinda lame, though way better than the time I had to admit to bashing my head in with my school locker when it jammed and finally opened. (ER docs enjoyed that one!) Certainly made for a nice memory back when I was a sophomore.
