Dolly Parton’s famous theme park, Dollywood, is facing legal action. Lee Mendelson, executive producer of the Peanuts cartoon specials, is going after the park for using the song “Christmas Time is Here” without proper licensing according to The Boot.
Dollywood has been using the tune in their holiday party since 2007. According to TMZ, the production company sent a warning to the park in 2018, but clearly it wasn’t heeded.
They’re seeking payment for past use of the song and requesting it no longer be played until a license agreement is reached.
