Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria to Host Inaugural ‘Pizza Run Indy’ July 31
Legendary pizzeria, in partnership with RaceMaker Productions and their Naptown Grub Series,
gives back to the community during 5K Run/Walk in Broad Ripple Village
CHICAGO, June 7, 2022 – Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, based in Northbrook, Ill., is teaming up with RaceMaker Productions to host the inaugural Pizza Run Indy. On Sunday, July 31, 2022, the community is invited to Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria in Broad Ripple, located at 6320 Ferguson St. in Indianapolis, to run, eat and celebrate. Pizza Run Indy, the second race in the Naptown Grub Runs series, will begin at 10 a.m. and a portion of the proceeds from the 5K Run/Walk will benefit Gleaners Food Bank.
The route will begin and end at Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria and offers participants the opportunity to hit the streets and enjoy the historic and artsy Broad Ripple Village. The course winds through the heart of the Village, looping west around residential sections and returning to Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria for a tasty finish line celebration where participants will enjoy a complimentary slice of the Malnati family’s legendary deep dish pizza, an ice-cold beverage, a custom Pizza Run Indy finisher medal and live music.

Pizza Run Indy registration is open. Participants can sign up by visiting www.pizzarunindy.com. Registration is $39.99 or $29.99 for youth 18 and under. Those who want to come just for the fun and prefer not to run can register for $22.99 and must do so by July 28, 2022. Participants can register on-site the day of the event. Event is rain or shine and packet pickup details will be announced closer to the event.
