Sara Evans has barely aged. We consider her to be one of country’s resident sweethearts. We’ll let you reminisce for a moment and sing Born To Fly, Suds In The Bucket or I Could Not Ask For More… Go on!
9. MARTINA MCBRIDE
1. Martina’s blue eyes. 2. Her red hair. We don’t think any other reasons are needed? But seriously, her music has always given listeners an emotional connection to any song she sings. You can’t tell me you didn’t shed a tear while listening to her Concrete Angels music video. Martina makes the list at #9.
8. HILLARY SCOTT
Hillary Scott was voted Prettiest Eyes by the student body in High School, but more than her eyes got her on this list. She’s so comfortable on and off the stage. We love a girl who isn’t afraid of eating a carrot, and most country boys would agree when we say they love a full figured woman!
7. KACEY MUSGRAVES
She rocks the no effort, natural beauty look, which makes the boys go crazy! We couldn’t get enough of her outfit during the Capital One JamFest this past April during the Final Four. We love her western country look and indie style, and she always has the cutest accessories. Kacey, if you’re reading this… Please let us know where you shop!
6. KELLIE PICKLER
Who else was screaming “Pick Pickler” during Season 5 of American Idol?! She’s definitely made a name for herself since coming in 6th on the show in 2006, releasing several hit country albums including Small Town Girl and 100 Proof. Go watch a few clips on YouTube of her and partner Derek Hough on Dancing with the Stars and you’ll have no doubt why she’s on our list and got 1st on the show!
5. KELSEA BALLERINI
Dibs! This little lady has made BIG news lately! She’s the first female to lead the country airplay chart with a debut single since 2006 with Love Me Like You Mean It. That’s not why she made our list though. If you were at the WFMS Young Guns Showcase in May, you’d know why. Girl has personality for days! We hope you come back soon!
4. TAYLOR SWIFT
Taylor Swift has been with us since before she could legally drive a car. Although she switched formats on us, she’ll always have a home here in country music. We couldn’t forget her in this Top 10 List! Sorry not sorry. #SwiftiesForLife
3. SHANIA TWAIN
Man, I feel like a woman! Ah, Ah! Ah, yes! Of course she made our list! For years, she was on fire and we’re so glad she’s making a stop on her last tour in Indy later this month to say goodbye! We know she’s going to Rock This Country!! Keep listening to WFMS for your chance to go to the show!
2. MIRANDA LAMBERT
Miranda Lambert, we’ve seen you workin’ hard! Did you see her in her Little Red Wagon music video?! Dangggg. Blake knew what he was doing making her Mrs. Shelton. She’s always had that Somethin’ Bad attitude, and we don’t think anyone will try to take her #2 spot from her!
1. CARRIE UNDERWOOD
This All-American Girl takes #1, but did you really think she wouldn’t? She has all the other girls blown away! Especially when legs come into consideration. We can’t believe she just popped a baby out in March either! Keep it up Carrie! Hope to see you in Indy again soon!
