Wife of IndyCar Driver, Ed Carpenter, Busts Him on His Pickup Line

We were joined this morning by Heather Carpenter, wife of IndyCar driver, Ed Carpenter, and she didn’t disappoint. In fact, we loved her honesty. Especially when it involves revealing the pickup line her husband used when they first met.

Turns out, Heather was a nurse at the track giving physicals to the drivers when she met Ed. He later called her complaining of a runny nose and asking for some FloNase.

Poor guy. We certainly can’t knock it, because it worked, right?

Thanks again to Heather for the fun chat during an especially busy month of May! Heather has been busy planning The Grand Gala for the Indy Family Foundation, an organization she founded 10 years ago to give back to others who have been credentialed in racing. (One recipient is a crew member whose home burned down and lost everything.) The event is May 12th and is open to the public.

Interested? You’ll enjoy steak and lobster stations, live music, face painting, a speed painter, race car drivers and more! Tickets are available through Eventbrite and can be purchased HERE.
