“The Giving Joy” contest will honor teachers who bring their students joy. The campaign also pays homage to a new cruise ship named Joy. A Noblesville parent nominated Jason Seaman to win the award. The top 15 nominees will win a free cruise for two and be entered for a chance to win $15,000 for their school. In Seaman’s nomination, the parent explained how he was shot three times while disarming a student who opened fire in his classroom. So far, Seaman has gotten more than 1,400 votes.
