Earlier this year, Justin Moore lost his beloved dog, Hank. He and his wife made the hard decision to put the 16-year-old dog down when his kidneys began to fail.

“Honestly, nothing can replace Hank … or at least that’s where I am at right now,” Justin told PEOPLE.

While they didn’t replace Hank, the Moores did add a new family member—an Aussie Doodle named Fancy.

Justin hasn’t completely come around to Fancy, but he says with time he probably will. Which usually happens with dads who don’t want dogs.
